Req Description
BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
Manage a group performing a variety of activities associated with one or more projects, and provide assistance to senior managers in various aspects of their assignments. Suggest and implement initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and improve performance.

Typical duties/responsibilities for project management may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Review customers' specifications and examine new contracts to ensure thorough understanding and adherence to desired contract terms and conditions. Plan and establish schedules, and assign work consistent with cost-effectively achieving objectives, ensuring quality and continuously improving performance. Monitor, analyze, and report on contract performance, and implement actions to eliminate or minimize adverse impact of problems.

Manage or perform such activities as initiate price change requests, apply mark-ups, prepare quotations and implement changes. Resolve disputes involving backcharges, escalation, delays, extras and warranty charges. Prepare releases, waivers of lien, and affidavits to allow collection of payments.

Review and coordinate flow of information among various groups and customers, and implement measures to resolve problems, ensure meeting schedule commitments, and achieve customer satisfaction. May act as the group's representative in meetings with customers and suppliers.

Manage and document employee performance and prepare associated recommendations while concurrently ensuring fair and equitable treatment. Promote training of staff to upgrade their skills and increase the group's effectiveness.

COMPLEXITY OF TASKS:
Strong interpersonal skills are required to manage a group, achieve cooperation and reach agreement with customers and suppliers. Requires technical and business skills to evaluate and solve problems, and to cost-effectively meet tight schedules while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to Company objectives. Errors are likely to result in delays and may impact customer relations.
