Systems Operations Manager

Requisition Number: 2018 Job Description: GENCO has an opening for a System Operations Manager based in one of our Lebanon, TN facilities. The facility is approximately 298,000 square foot remanufacturing and return center operation. The facility operates 3 shifts with approximately 500 teammates.
The Systems Operations Manager is responsible for: • Providing input into applications design • Troubleshooting and resolving application related issues • Understanding business requirements and translating them into system changes • Identifying and resolving system operating problems in order to provide continuous business operations • Interfacing with the customer and the project management team regarding user needs to promote an environment of user cooperation and satisfaction • Defining system requirements, flows, and Interfaces based on customer needs • Making recommendations regarding continuous improvement of department, work processes and operating procedures • Analyzing, interpreting and summarizing data in preparation of statistical and analytical reports, gathering and maintaining all production and quality audit tracking • Developing data collection instruments, developing and utilizing instruments and methods for the evaluation and quality control of research or operational data • Assisting all Managers in preparing procedures, work instructions, hazardous materials shipping papers, reference guides and any other duties as assigned to meet GENCO requirements • Maintaining Radio Frequency (RF) network and equipment · Ensuring all hardware is available and working properly; this includes repeaters, antennas, voice units, RF units · Troubleshooting and fixing RF connectivity issues · Reconfiguring RF Handhelds when needed · Securing RMAs from vendors when hardware cannot be repaired on-site • Maintaining Network o Ensuring all network assets are on the network and functioning correctly o Troubleshooting any connectivity issues o Setting-up new users on a workstation once account is created • Maintaining Hardware o Performing routine maintenance tasks (e.g., software installations/upgrades, system backups) for user PC's/Laptops, application servers (WMS, parcel, and time keeping), printers, phones and fax machines o Repairing any hardware issues where possible or contact third party for repairs o Securing replacement hardware as needed, either from our customer or from a third party vendor • General o On call 24 hours a day, 5 to 7 days a week o On-going training for new teammates or as SOP changes are implemented o Responding to systems alert email notifications or phone calls based on priority o Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines determined by Operations Team or customer
Requirements: The successful candidate will have: • A BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experienceBA/BS • Three(3)to Five (5)years experience in technology field in a management/supervisory level of responsibility • Proficient in Microsoft Applications • Basic knowledge in Oracle Forms and Reports, PL/SQL • Warehouse Management(WMS) experience preferred • Clear written and oral communication • UNIX/NT/VMS knowledge a plus • Project Management Experience preferred • Radio Frequency equipment knowledge preferred • PC diagnostic testing and imaging preferred • Oracle Discovery BI experiencea plus
